About Us

YWAM Milano was founded in August 2008 by an international group of people who, with the help of their personal linguistic and cultural experiences, rendered their talents and resources to serve, help and develop the people and the local community. Among our strengths are our international nature, cultural mediation, social cohesion, integration, aid to minorities and spiritual needs.

Firm on the teaching that every human being was created in the image and likeness of God, we believe and move in the values of dignity for every human being, mutual help, solidarity and friendship. We serve at local, national and international levels.

YWAM in the World

YWAM is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, ages and varying Christian traditions. We are all dedicated to serving God across the world.

We are also known as YWAM (pronounced “wahywem”), one of our main targets being young people, but also all people between the ages of 0 and 100. At the moment, we have tens of thousands of staff working in thousands of teams and places.

One of our biggest joys is that of working with people from different nations.

What we do can be grouped into three categories:

Evangelism

We believe that everyone deserves to hear the message of Christ;

Training

Through our training programs, we desire to equip believers across the world to serve their neighbour in every area, be it agriculture, health care, business development or biblical counselling.

YWAM’s University of the Nations (U of N) offers studies specialised in different areas such as Science and Technology, Languages, Humanities and Theology;

Humanitarian Aid

If you believe it, you have to live it. Following the example of Jesus and helping people in need, we carry out aid and development programmes in more than 100 countries, working among people living in desperate circumstances. Our Volunteers work in sectors such as agriculture, prevention of human trafficking and development of small-scale enterprises. Their goal is to alleviate suffering and give hope to those affected by poverty, disease and injustice. To see the impact of one of our YWAM compassion ministries, watch the video below.
